Project Description

Ashley Hoath-Murray

Ashley Hoath-Murray believes that innovation, adaptability and transparency are the three most important keys to success for not-for-profit agencies. Ashley is the Co-Executive Director of Literacy Link Niagara, the adult literacy network in the Niagara Region. She consults and engages key stakeholders about issues relating to literacy through her project work and tries to make recommendations that will produce positive communal change. She uses outcomes based tools to write successful grant applications. Ashley is a trained Clear Writing Consultant and believes that writing to your audience make for fewer mixed messages and quicker actions. A graduate of Leadership Niagara, a mid-management professional development program, Ashley feels that leadership means inspiring people to dialogue about community possibilities, not problems. She holds an undergraduate degree in Politics and Women’s Studies with an emphasis in Law & Policy from Trent University, as well as a Post-Graduate Certificate from Niagara College. Because of her concern for youth retention in Niagara, she was founding Chair of NEXTNiagara, Niagara’s attraction and retention strategy.

Ashely has completed several evaluation reports for the literacy field through her work with Gay Douglas & Associates. As a project manager herself, she understands the intricacies of project work and can therefore identify key stages and questions for evaluation.
